Court rejects appeal of convicted evangelist
An appeal by convicted evangelist Tony Alamo in a lawsuit that found Alamo ordered the beatings of two young boys in his ministry in Arkansas has been rejected.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ one sentence order released Tuesday denied Alamo’s request that his appeal be reconsidered.
Alamo’s attorneys argued that a three-judge panel of the court was wrong in October when it rejected Alamo’s claim of faulty jury instructions. His attorneys wanted an instruction that corporal punishment was reasonable in certain circumstances.
Alamo was convicted and ordered to pay $30 million in damages to each of the two — who are now adults. The appeals court reduced the award to $12 million each.
Alamo is serving a 175-year prison sentence for taking young girls across state lines for sex.

Maybe Tony Alamo’s attorneys should witness first hand what Tony Alamo had administered as “corporate punisment”. I guess they didn’t read the victim’s statements. I think they would have a different view if they were suspended in mid-air, and then beaten with a wooden board 150 times, or suffer any of the abuse that was ordered by Tony Alamo.That rapist, Tony Alamo, who forced himself on the young under age girls, also beat and tormented the girls continuously , The physical abuse in itself was horrific, but now add the mental abuse, the forced fasts, the long hours with no sleep, and fear into the mix. I wonder how his attorney’s wouldd react if they had an 8 -17 year old daughter that suffered this horrific torture and rape? I think they would be working as hard as possible to keep that lying, raping pedophile behind bars where he belongs. I KNOW I am going to do everything in my power to speak up and expose that liar,, Tony Alamo, that self anointed , child raping pervert behind bars for the rest of his life. It is NEVER wrong, in the eyes of the Lord to expose evil. There are some who know the evils of Tony Alamo, but they believe that false doctrine of, ” not touching the Lord’s anointed “., so they refuse to speak up. They have nothing “bad” to say about Tony Alamo. Saul was the Lord’s anointed, but when he did evil Samuel and David exposed the evil acts of Saul. Speak up and stand up for what is true, what is honest… Do NOT Defend evil! DO NOT defend that child raping pedophile, Tony Alamo, who continually lies about the vile, cruel evil acts he perpetrated on the smallest and most innocent members of his congregation . Your silence only defends that vile , child beating , child molesting pedophile. Tell the truth!
