THE OFFICE, THE MEETING, THE END
Tony’s position was always, “Let me do the dirty work and the business.” He kept me away from everything by playing to my one true weakness, which was, “you are the star. You are untouchable. I’ll deal with these people because I know how they think and what they want.” I pretty much went along with that, believing I was a star. He never told me anything about what he was doing when I wasn’t around and I was too inexperienced at the time to demand that kind of cooperation from him. It was Tony and me for sure, but with Tony always taking the lead when it came to deals and money. But the day came, when one of Tony’s deals required my willing participation with him to accomplish it. Tony set up a meeting in Beverly Hills with an investor and he told me I had to go with him and meet the guy. I agreed to go not suspecting that my entire world would be turned upside down by the end of that particular day. Prior to the actual meeting, I have no recollection of how I got there. I don’t remember whether I went with Tony or met him there. I recall vividly being with Tony as we entered the building where the meeting took place. It was on a corner, south of Wilshire Blvd., but I don’t recall the exact streets. There was a set of steps going in, maybe 3 or 4 steps to the entrance. No one was with us when we went into the office and no one but the person we were meeting was there when we met him. The three of us were the only ones there. The man was kind of short, a little overweight and balding. He was friendly and smoking a cigar. He appeared to be jewish, and I don’t mean this in a belittling way, he just appeared to be a jewish guy from Beverly Hills, pretty typical. His office was pleasant but not lavish. It was one large room, maybe 40 by 25 feet. At the far end of the room was a desk and chair where the man went, sat down and faced us. I don’t remember if the Billboard ads were up on the wall, but it’s possible. I stayed at the opposite end of the room and sat in a chair a few feet from where we came in. I didn’t know what to do so I just sat there trying to look like a star. Tony stood in the middle of the room between the man’s desk and my chair. I don’t recall what was said because Tony and the guy were going back and forth for a while. During this exchange, Tony took a particular stance in the middle of the room, which is hard to explain without sounding like I’m joking, which I’m not, but it kind of looked like a bad impersonation of Elvis Presley. Tony stretched out one arm and pointed at me and uttered out loud, “That is Jesus Christ and if you, now pointing his other arm and finger at the guy, do not give him $50,000 he will point his finger at you and you will die!” I looked over at the man just in time to see that his face looked frozen. His jaw fell open and his cigar just kind of rolled out onto his desk. Other than that he didn’t move a muscle, but stared at Tony in disbelief, who was still standing, with his arms stretched out in the middle of the room. I could not believe what was happening. I had no way of knowing this was coming and had no way of dealing with it now that it was there. I remember staring at the floor trying to decide what to do. I just stood up, didn’t say anything and walked out the door as fast as I could. I reached the sidewalk and kind of walked around in little circles hoping that Tony would come out and tell me it was all a joke and that everything was ok. In a few minutes Tony did come out the door and down the steps toward me. “Why did you say that Tony,” I pleaded, and stood waiting for some rational explanation to what I had just witnessed. “Because it’s the truth,” he said, looking right at me. I stared at him in a second wave of disbelief and was devastated by his response, knowing fully at that moment my world had just ended. “No it isn’t Tony, no it isn’t.”

As part of a plea agreement that saved him from a possible death penalty, confessed killer Richard Church agreed to tell the full story of his three years as a fugitive, authorities say.
Church escaped Aug. 21, 1988, after killing Raymond and Ruth Ann Ritter and savagely beating his former girlfriend, Colleen, and her 10- year-old brother. He was arrested in Salt Lake City Nov. 21,1991. In between those dates, Church, 23, spent time in California and other states with a religious cult headed by the Rev. Tony Alamo.

International watch group, Alamo Ministries Watch, had their Domain Name Registar suspend their domain name www.alamoministrieswatch.com due to a letter they received from Tony Alamo and his long-time attorney, Eric M. Lieberman. As is common with hosting companies in the U.S., the hosting company did not want to get involved in a legal dispute so they followed through with their standard procedures for such cases.

Occasionally you may come across Alamo’s name when inquiring about rhinestone jackets. Tony Alamo promoted the jackets that his followers created as his own and sold them for thousands of dollars to celebrities in the 1980’s. They can still be found on Ebay and auctions around the country. Little do the buyers know, not only did Alamo get free labor from his followers, but he used to force their children to work on putting the rhinestones on those jackets as well. Alamo realized that their small hands and fingers where perfect for handling the delicate rhinestones. They were directed to report to the warehouses directly after school and worked until as late as 10pm in the evenings. They were never compensated for their efforts.

FOUKE, Ark. If a public official doesnt stop accusing the founder of the Tony Alamo Ministries of being a pedophile and the members of the ministries of having guns, lawsuits will be filed against the person and the City of Fouke, an associate pastor for the ministries said Thursday night. The Fouke City Council was about to adjourn when Tony Alamo Ministries associate pastor Buster White asked to make a comment. ‘Our pastor (Tony Alamo) has been accused of being a pedophile. He is 72 years old and it sickens him to have been accused of being a pedophile’ said White. He said the second accusation was that weapons are being stored at the ministries located near the northwest Fouke city limits along U.S. Highway 71.
For decades Tony Alamo has claimed authorship of the book “The Messiah According To Bible Prophecy” when in fact he has plagiarized 98% of this book from Fred John Meldau’s book titled “Messiah in Both Testaments”.
Below are the first several pages of Meldau’s book, as well as the first several pages of Alamo’s book, so that you can see the blatant plagiarism. For those who want to do more extensive research into the extent of the plagiarism of Meldau’s book we are making both books available for download in the entirety below the thumbnails for your convenience.

When Tony & Susan began their ministry they preached about sacrifice and denying the needs of the flesh. They preached about putting away your desires for the things of the world and living humbly for the Lord. This included giving up all family and friends that would not join the group. Tony Alamo still preaches this same message today.
When the Department of Labor and the IRS investigated the Alamo Ministries it blew the lid off of the way that these two “church” leaders were living. They had several large homes (mansions) across the country, fancy cars, diamond rings, furs and anything their hearts desired could and would be specially made for them. All of this was paid for by the members who volunteered their time away from their families and labored for “free”, and then were forced to turn over all income to the group, in service to the Lord (or at least this is what they thought they were doing) while living the most humble of existences. Don and Kathy Wiley’s deposition verifies these facts, as well as part of Susan Alamo’s deposition. Below are some photos of Susan and Tony Alamo that depict their lavish lifestyle in the 1970’s and early 1980’s.
Many followers left after they witnessed the decadence of Tony and Susan Alamo and they were told that they would become homosexuals or be killed by God and burn in a lake of fire for all eternity for “falling away”. Tony Alamo still uses these same fear tactics to keep people from leaving the group. Below is a letter that was drafted in the late 1970’s by a former member of the group. He only spent a few years in the group but fled in the middle of the night with only the clothes on his back. He details the deplorable living conditions of the 1970’s and early 1980’s and the way that converts were “trained” to do all that the Alamo’s expected of their followers. In some case the living conditions have improved but these same “training” tactics are still used today by the Alamo Ministries.

Alamo is still using the “persecution” card when people try to bring to light his lies and deceit. Recently, the citizens of Fouke, AR have had enough and began their own campaign to make the community aware of what is going on behind Alamo’s compound. This has prompted the “World Pastor” to bring (what he describes as) several “powerful soul-winning messages” about God “annihilating” all who come against Alamo’s church. He mentions several people who have suffered heart attacks and claims it was because they came against the Alamo church.
There is a little known fact amongst anyone who actually knows Tony Alamo and how he uses psychology to get his followers to obey and believe he actually hears from the Lord. One of the more effective methods is to claim that anyone who becomes ill has been afflicted by God because their soul has fallen away or they have been sinning and they are going to hell by some disease that has manifested because of their rotten souls. In this sound bite he offers to “lay hands on them and cure them” if God allows him to.

When telling people what a great promoter he was, Tony Alamo often mentions the “Twenty Original Hits” records. In the audio “Earthquake 2” on www.alamoministries.com, for example, about 33 minutes into the recording, he says he invented “Twenty Original Hits” and eventually stopped selling new editions only because he “got bored.” Click here to listen to the sound bite from Earthquake on the 20 original hits.– 2 minutes
