Judge: Religious freedom doesn’t allow Alamo to order beatings
The constitutionally guaranteed right to religious freedom didn’t give Tony Alamo the right to order beatings, force fasts and falsely imprison, according to a federal judge’s ruling Wednesday in a lawsuit filed by two men who claim to have been beaten as children at Alamo’s bidding.

DHS: Wanting to remove child from parents not retaliation
Accusations that an Arkansas Department of Human Services petition to remove an infant born to Tony Alamo Christian Ministries members in June was filed in retaliation can’t be true, according to a document filed Friday by the DHS.

Alamo sentencing reset
Tony Alamo’s sentencing for child sex abuse crimes has been reset to Nov. 13 by a federal judge.
Alamo, 75, was convicted by a jury July 24 n the Texarkana Division of the Western District of Arkansasof all 10 counts in an indictment accusing him of bringing young girls acro ss state lines for sex between 1994 and 2005.
