Controversial evangelist Tony Alamo arrived at Texarkana federal Court Wednesday morning shortly after 6:30.
When asked if he wanted to testify in his own defense, Alamo replied “I want to”.
When asked what his attorneys were afraid of, he responded “I’m not afraid, why are you all liars?”
Alamo’s on trial for allegedly taking underage girls across state lines for the purposes of sex in violation of the Mann Act. If convicted on all counts, Alamo could receive up to 175 years in prison.
If convicted one a single count he will likely die in jail.
