Alamo delivered for sentencing
About 6:40 a.m. today, a caravan of federal marshals delivered Tony Alamo to the federal courthouse for his sentencing hearing on 10 child sex abuse convictions in downtown Texarkana.
“Satan never wins honey,” Alamo said when asked if he believes the forces of evil have triumphed. “Praise the Lord, I’m innocent.”
U.S. District Judge Harry Barnes will hear testimony from three of the five Jane Does who testified during Alamo’s criminal trial in July that he had taken them as child brides and transported them across state lines for sex.
He faces up to 175 years.
