Path clear for auction of Alamo properties
An ownership stake in property belonging to the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries, including the ministry’s church complex in Fouke and an apartment complex in Fort Smith, will likely be up for sale in October to satisfy a $3 million judgment in a lawsuit by two former ministry members, an attorney for the former members said Wednesday.

Alamo Ministries defendants cite Texarkana-area publicity
Three defendants in a lawsuit alleging that members of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries failed to protect young girls from being sexually abused have asked for a change of venue, citing “persistent and extensive media coverage” of civil and criminal cases related to the ministry.

Alamo filing says parents are culpable
A member of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries said in a court filing Monday that the parents of women the church’s leader took as his “wives” when they were young girls should be held responsible for any abuse the women suffered.
