109 Potential Jurors Face Questions in Alamo Case
A pool of 109 jurors will return to Texarkana to face a battery of questions from prosecutors and defense lawyers in the federal trial of jailed evangelist Tony Alamo.
Court officials think lawyers will be able to come up with a 12-member jury and a few alternates by the end of Tuesday.
Officials say opening arguments in Alamo’s trial likely will come by Wednesday.
Alamo, who is 74, faces a 10-count federal indictment accusing him of taking young girls across state lines for sex.
Alamo remains held without bond during the trial. Officials expect the trial to take two weeks to complete.
