The Arkansas State Police stopped two Ford sport utility vehicles Tuesday inside the city limits of Texarkana, Ark., as they carried 17 children from the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries compound in Fouke, Ark.

TEXARKANA — At a hearing on the custody status of two girls removed from Tony Alamo’s religious compound in southwest Arkansas, a 14-yearold girl testified that Alamo had touched her inappropriately, and an 18-year-old man described beatings at the hands of another church member.

He also neglected to mention that his son Justin Cunneen married Tony Alamo’s step- daughter Becky Kroopf-Alamo (Sharon’s daughter) when she was fifteen and they now have many children together.
