Parents no-shows in Alamo case
A day after a couple who belong to the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries failed to show up for a hearing on the custody status of their children, including a 4-month-old boy, an advocate for the parents said in an interview that she has not heard from the parents and has no idea where they are.

On the second day of hearings on the custody status of children who were removed from the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries, a judge admonished attorneys, witnesses and other to abide by his gag order, which bars participants from commenting on the proceedings.

2 Alamo dads said to face loss of children
Arkansas child-welfare officials recommended Monday that the parental rights of two more fathers who are members of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries be terminated, a move that would clear the men’s children to be put up for adoption, an advocate for the parents said Monday.

Beaten teens get $3 million award
Calling the abuse that two former members of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries say they endured “almost beyond my comprehension,” a judge Thursday entered a default judgment against a fugitive described as the ministry’s disciplinarian and ordered him to pay the two teenagers $3 million in damages.

Alamo sentencing reset
Tony Alamo’s sentencing for child sex abuse crimes has been reset to Nov. 13 by a federal judge.
Alamo, 75, was convicted by a jury July 24 n the Texarkana Division of the Western District of Arkansasof all 10 counts in an indictment accusing him of bringing young girls acro ss state lines for sex between 1994 and 2005.
