Minister accuses mayor of slander: Associate pastor of Alamo Ministries threatens legal action if accusations continue
FOUKE, Ark. If a public official doesnt stop accusing the founder of the Tony Alamo Ministries of being a pedophile and the members of the ministries of having guns, lawsuits will be filed against the person and the City of Fouke, an associate pastor for the ministries said Thursday night. The Fouke City Council was about to adjourn when Tony Alamo Ministries associate pastor Buster White asked to make a comment. ‘Our pastor (Tony Alamo) has been accused of being a pedophile. He is 72 years old and it sickens him to have been accused of being a pedophile’ said White. He said the second accusation was that weapons are being stored at the ministries located near the northwest Fouke city limits along U.S. Highway 71.

If there is one thing you won’t hear a lot of on Tony Alamo’s radio programs, that would have to be the preaching of the gospel. When reviewing the many programs of his on his website it seems that one theme remains constant (other than fornication and adultery). Tony Alamo is in love with himself. He thinks he is the best preacher, the best promoter, the best idea man, etc. One thing is for sure, he is the best at lying and getting away with it. Below are some sound bites that we have called “I’m The Best” because they glorify and promote Tony Alamo and his many accomplishments (according to him) from his own lips. Surprisingly most of his claims to fame can not be verified.
Due to the enormous number of these sound bites, (practically every single audio program that Tony Alamo has ever made includes him bragging about his self) we are only able to include these few.

As we know to be the case for most criminals incarcerated or released from prison for a crime – they almost always say they were “railroaded”, “framed” and most definitely they were “innocent”. Tony Alamo is no exception. Unfortunately, his cries of innocence fall on deaf ears when one considers the fact that all of the evidence and witnesses were presented at trial and a jury of his peers found that he was indeed guilty.
Alamo rambles on incessantly about how he was set up by the IRS and the Anti-Christ government because he was preaching the gospel. So now he tells anyone who will listen that he was put in jail for the “gospel sake”. This sounds a lot better than federal tax evasion. PLUS he gets the added bonus of being in the mile high club with all of the other “religious convicts” that were criminals for the gospel sake; Peter, Paul, John, Jesus. Being a self proclaimed prophet, he claims he is in good company.

Alamo is still using the “persecution” card when people try to bring to light his lies and deceit. Recently, the citizens of Fouke, AR have had enough and began their own campaign to make the community aware of what is going on behind Alamo’s compound. This has prompted the “World Pastor” to bring (what he describes as) several “powerful soul-winning messages” about God “annihilating” all who come against Alamo’s church. He mentions several people who have suffered heart attacks and claims it was because they came against the Alamo church.
There is a little known fact amongst anyone who actually knows Tony Alamo and how he uses psychology to get his followers to obey and believe he actually hears from the Lord. One of the more effective methods is to claim that anyone who becomes ill has been afflicted by God because their soul has fallen away or they have been sinning and they are going to hell by some disease that has manifested because of their rotten souls. In this sound bite he offers to “lay hands on them and cure them” if God allows him to.

When telling people what a great promoter he was, Tony Alamo often mentions the “Twenty Original Hits” records. In the audio “Earthquake 2” on www.alamoministries.com, for example, about 33 minutes into the recording, he says he invented “Twenty Original Hits” and eventually stopped selling new editions only because he “got bored.” Click here to listen to the sound bite from Earthquake on the 20 original hits.– 2 minutes

Fouke backs off Circle Drive: Threat of Alamo lawsuit convinces council to stop inquiry into opening road near the ministry headquarters
FOUKE, Ark. A letter threatening a lawsuit against the City of Fouke convinced enough members of the Fouke City Council to approve a resolution stopping any further action to open Circle Drive on the south side of the Tony Alamo Ministries headquarters. During a called council meeting Thursday night, the council approved the resolution to ‘terminate inquiries on Circle Drive and no further review of property rights on the street. Circle Drive dead ends near the headquarters of the Alamo Ministries. In 2006, R&G Securities had been hired to stop traffic from driving on the street and coming onto the parking lot of the ministries. Proposals had been made to extend Circle Drive to connect to Forrest Street and then open Forrest Street from Circle Drive to Williams Circle. Proposals were made in 2006 to give additional access to property behind the Alamo headquarters. Reportedly, several mobile homes are located behind the ministries and there was concern about the limited access in case of a medical emergency or fire.

Tony Alamo Strikes Again
Mattress master Tempur-Pedic International has sued Waste to Charity — a New Jersey nonprofit organization — in federal court for $15-million, accusing it of selling half of the 8,000 mattresses the company donated to Hurricane Katrina refugees.
The mattress company alleges that instead of distributing mattresses to storm victims, officials at the alleged charity negotiated side deals to sell 4,000 of them at drastically discounted prices, netting a cool profit of $500,000.
